The Tru-Cool Max LPD4739 is a high-efficiency transmission oil cooler engineered for demanding applications, capable of handling up to 40,000 GVW. This unit features a robust, brazed aluminum construction with 13 plates, providing superior heat dissipation crucial for heavy-duty vehicles, trucks, and towing. Its Low Pressure Drop (LPD) design ensures efficient fluid flow without restricting circulation, maintaining peak transmission performance. The integrated thermal bypass valve is a key feature, allowing the transmission fluid to reach its optimal operating temperature more quickly during cold starts. Once the fluid is warm enough, the valve automatically redirects flow through the cooler, preventing unnecessary cooling in cold conditions and enhancing overall transmission longevity. This heavy-duty construction is built to withstand rigorous conditions, offering reliable protection against overheating and fluid breakdown. Installation of this cooler requires the use of a backup wrench on the fittings to prevent leaks, as leaks caused by twisting the fittings are not covered under warranty.
