The Rawtek Performance Max Performance Kit is a comprehensive DPF and EGR delete exhaust system engineered to significantly enhance performance, reliability, and fuel economy for the 2014 VW Jetta TDI. This "Max Performance" variant extends from the turbo back, incorporating a full cat-back system with dual tips, offering a more aggressive exhaust sound compared to the ECO kit. It eliminates the restrictive Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system, factory catalytic converters, and the OEM muffler, allowing exhaust gases to flow more freely. Rawtek recommends using TuneZilla tuning options, available via a handheld Flashzilla device or the Flashzilla Pro device for ECU and TCU (DSG transmission) tuning. For DSG-equipped vehicles, a TCU tune is mandatory when increasing torque to prevent rough shifting and potential damage. The kit offers various midpipe options, including straight pipe, high-flow cat, resonator, or a combination of both, to tailor sound and emissions compliance. A resonator is highly recommended to eliminate highway exhaust drone and provide a deeper, sportier exhaust note without compromising performance or fuel economy.
