MAX Power 1.8 Inch NC Header

The RoadsterSport MAX Power 1.8 Inch NC Header is a T304 polished stainless steel exhaust component designed for 2006-2015 Mazda MX-5 Miata models, featuring 1.8-inch primary tubes and a 2.5-inch collector outlet. This header is specifically tuned for peak power gains, particularly on 2.0-liter engines utilizing a supercharger or a 2.5-liter engine conversion. Customer dyno work indicates it outperforms smaller 1.6-inch primary headers across the entire power band. It is noted that the header is quite large and requires some minor grinding on the bottom flange to fit with automatic transmissions. Installation of this header will result in approximately a 20% increase in exhaust sound level due to the removal of the primary catalytic converter. For optimal sound management and to avoid drone, the RoadsterSport Q muffler and Helmholtz midpipe are strongly recommended. Important fitment restrictions apply: this header is too large to be compatible with AWR lowering mounts or RoadsterSport's own lowering brackets, as there is insufficient clearance to lower the motor. It is recommended to use RoadsterSport Competition Motor Mounts (item 61-1713) with 2.5-liter conversions. The product is intended for Left Hand Drive vehicles, specifically USA/Canada versions, and has not been tested on other configurations. Additionally, installing this header removes the primary catalytic converter, making it illegal for street use in California and other states that follow CARB regulations. It is strictly for off-road or race use in such regions.
