The VIS Racing MAX Style carbon fiber hood provides a lightweight, durable alternative to the factory panel for 2002-2006 Acura RSX 2-door models. Manufactured with a two-part design, the hood features a top layer of carbon fiber bonded with high-grade epoxy resin and finished in a UV-protective polyurethane coating. A one-piece underside shell is fused to the top layer to enhance overall structural rigidity, while edges are hand-smoothed for a quality fit. This component utilizes the Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.), which results in a part that is 10-20% lighter than traditional manufacturing methods while maintaining durability. Each hood features a VIS badge of authenticity to ensure quality control. Professional installation is required, as the process involves fitment adjustments that may include minor sanding, shaving, cutting, or filling. Because of the intended use for these aftermarket aerodynamic products, the installation of hood pins is mandatory for safety. This part is intended for off-road and show use only, unless local or state laws dictate otherwise.
