The AMP EFI MaxSpark Plug & Play IGN1A Ignition Kit offers the most powerful and complete bolt-on ignition upgrade for your Mazda Miata, designed for B6 and BP series engines, including VVT and Mazdaspeed models. This system provides a clean, high-output spark of over 100 mJ per event, surpassing DIY coil-on-plug conversions and competitor offerings to eliminate misfire, enhance idle quality, and improve throttle response. The harness features OE-grade connectors, flame-retardant TechFlex loom, and a professionally tucked layout, with the coil power rerouted away from the main relay for increased reliability. This kit is compatible with most Miata strut bars, including factory, FM, and Carbing bars, and is RHD friendly. ECU compatibility varies: 1990–early 1995 models require a standalone ECU, while 1995.5–2005 models are compatible with factory and aftermarket ECUs. Sequential coil control requires an aftermarket ECU and two added wires. Specific model fitments include MM9093 for 1990–1993 Miatas, MM9400 for 1994–2000 Miatas (NA8 & NB1), and MM0105 for 2001–2005 Miatas (NB2 & Mazdaspeed). Note that this kit will not fit Mazdaspeed (MSM) models with the factory strut bar installed, requiring modification for fitment.
