MAXX Coil-Over Kit

The Godspeed Project MAXX coilover system offers a track-oriented setup with daily commute comfort for the 2008-2017 Mitsubishi Lancer (CX/CY models), including Ralliart and Sportsback trims, but excluding Lancer Evolution models. With 40 precise levels of damper adjustment, users can easily tune the suspension from stiff to soft by simply twisting a knob. The mono-tube design incorporates a large-capacity 52mm carbon steel shock body and 44mm internal pistons, utilizing durable SAE9252 steel springs and Italian IP F.A. 5W damper oil for consistent performance across various temperatures. Constructed with lightweight aluminum shock components and T7075 forged aluminum/carbon steel brackets, these coilovers ensure durability while minimizing weight. Independent ride height and spring pre-load adjustments are possible through lower brackets, maximizing shock travel for a more comfortable ride compared to traditional lowering springs. The front includes pillow ball top mounts with camber plates for adjustability, while the rear reuses the factory top mounts. Installation requires verifying all hardware and ensuring the spring preload is set to 5-10mm (1/4-3/8 inch). This system aims to provide quicker response times, improved bump absorption, and increased grip for safer driving at the limit.
