MAXX Coilover System

The Godspeed Project MAXX coilover system is engineered for the Ford Mustang S550 (2015-2023) for both track-oriented performance and daily driving comfort. This system offers 40 precise levels of damper adjustment, allowing fine-tuning from stiff to soft by simply twisting a knob. It employs a mono-tube design with an anodized shock body and a 52mm JIS seamless carbon steel shock body housing a 44mm internal piston, filled with Italian IP F.A. 5W damper oil. Constructed with cold-wound springs made from high-tensile SAE9252 steel for enhanced durability, these coilovers feature independent ride height and spring pre-load adjustments. The ride height is managed through lower brackets, ensuring maximum shock travel for a more comfortable ride compared to lowering springs alone. Lightweight aluminum shock components and T7075 forged aluminum/carbon steel brackets contribute to reduced overall system weight while maintaining robustness. All parts are replaceable, and the shock absorbers are rebuildable, allowing for customization or the purchase of replacement cartridges without needing a full new coil-over system. Installation requires verifying all hardware is properly tightened and setting the spring pre-load to 5-10mm (1/4-3/8 inch). Front camber adjustable plates are included where applicable. This system is compatible with all Ford Mustang (S550) models from 2015 to 2023, excluding those equipped with MagneRide suspensions.
