The Maxx MAXX2107-B is a front and rear coilover kit designed for Chevrolet Corvette C5 models from 1997-2004. The Maxx MAXX2107-B coilover kit is engineered for Chevrolet Corvette C5 models (1997-2004) seeking a balance between track performance and daily driving comfort. This system employs a mono-tube design, which, coupled with large-capacity 44mm internal pistons and Italian IP F.A. 5W shock oil, ensures consistent damping performance across various conditions, from spirited street driving to track use. Constructed with cold-wound SAE9252 steel springs, these coilovers offer enhanced durability. The front springs have a rate of 12 kg/mm (672 lbs/inch) and a length of 140 mm, while the rear springs are rated at 10 kg/mm (560 lbs/inch) with a length of 180 mm. Both front and rear springs utilize a 62 mm inner diameter. The shock body diameter is 52 mm. Ride height is independently adjustable using lower brackets, providing maximum shock travel for a more comfortable ride compared to simple lowering springs. This independent adjustment of ride height and spring pre-load allows for fine-tuning. The kit includes front camber adjustable plates where applicable, and features lightweight aluminum shock components along with T7075 forged aluminum and carbon steel brackets. Installation requires verifying all hardware and properly setting spring preload to 10mm. This coilover system is compatible with the 1997-2004 Chevrolet Corvette C5, specifically excluding models with electronic suspensions.
