The Mahle 224-3851WR-0.25MM is a heavy-duty upgrade piston set with rings specifically engineered for 2008-2010 Ford 6.4L Powerstroke and Navistar Maxx Force 7 engines. This set addresses a critical failure point in the stock 6.4L pistons by redesigning the bowl and center hump to better withstand higher combustion pressures, thus preventing common cracking issues. The inclusion of a cast steel insert ensures longevity for daily-driver use, maintaining a 16.5:1 compression ratio. This is not a remachined OEM piston; it's a purpose-built, new-design heavy-duty upgrade from Mahle, a company that also serves as an OE supplier for these applications. The set includes 8 heavy-duty pistons with rings, featuring a coated skirt, redesigned bowl and center hump for higher-pressure tolerance, and a cast steel insert for durability. Fitment is for the 391 CID (6.4L) 32V Turbo V8 Powerstroke Diesel, including Ford F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty models from 2008-2010, as well as Navistar Maxx Force 7 engines. It is crucial to confirm with your machine shop that your engine's bore requires the 0.25MM oversize specification before ordering. This product is sold only as a complete set of 8 pistons with rings and is not available individually. Additionally, this product cannot be shipped to California.
