The SuspensionMAXX MAXXLinks (SMX-131185) are heavy-duty sway bar end links engineered to replace weaker original equipment links in lifted Ram 4x4 2500 and 3500 trucks. These MAXXLinks address the common issue of factory ball-and-socket sway bar end links that are prone to rust and deterioration. Instead, they utilize robust rubber bushings that provide necessary articulation without the premature wear and corrosion associated with ball sockets. This design ensures the links remain tight and free of play for longer periods, eliminating rattles over bumps. Construction highlights include ultra-high strength 4140 treated alloy steel eyelets with yellow zinc dichromate plating for corrosion resistance, and drawn-over-mandrel steel tubing for the shaft sections. Grade 8 bolts and stainless steel washers are included for durability and ease of maintenance. The product comes as a kit with rubber bushings in black and all necessary hardware, excluding frame bushings. Specifically, the SMX-131185 model features a 8.5-inch center-to-center measurement and is designed for vehicles lifted 4 inches or more. The MAXXLinks are a direct bolt-in installation requiring no drilling and typically taking approximately 45 minutes to an hour. The product is 100% American-made and backed by a limited warranty. Note that tubular axle control links were used on the 2500 up to the 2014 model year and on the 3500 up until 2013.5, and chassis changes after these dates may require different MAXXLinks series for leveled vehicles.
