The Crower 66963X980-16 is a set of 16 mechanical flat tappet lifters engineered for Pontiac and Oldsmobile V8 engines manufactured from 1955 onwards. These lifters are equipped with Crower's CoolFace oiling option, which directs additional oil to the lifter body and camshaft lobe, promoting reduced wear and increased longevity for critical valvetrain components. With a lifter body diameter of 1.490 inches and a weight of 88.5 grams per lifter, these components are designed to meet the demands of performance applications. They are compatible with a range of Pontiac V8 engines, specifically from 260 to 455 cubic inches. The CoolFace design is intended to provide superior lubrication, especially in high-RPM or severe-duty applications, helping to prevent premature lobe wear and ensuring a longer lifespan for both the camshaft and the lifters.
