Mechanical Racing Solid Lifter Kit

The FCP Engineering mechanical racing solid lifter kit is specifically engineered for the BMW 318is E30 featuring the 1.8 16V M42B18 engine. This high-performance kit includes 16 solid lifters, also known as tappets or cam followers, designed to enhance engine operation. Constructed from durable forged steel, these lifters are treated with a nitride hardening surface for increased wear resistance and longevity, achieving an HRC 50 rating. The lifters feature precise dimensions including a 35.00mm outer diameter, 33.10mm inner diameter, 26.00mm outer height, and a 14.70mm stem length, with a 7.00mm stud diameter. Each lifter weighs approximately 50g. It is important to note that the installed follower height to the camshaft must be adjusted using lash caps, which are sold separately. This ensures proper valve train geometry and performance.
