Description

The Whipple Mega Cooler Series intercooler brings industry-leading cooling technology to the 2020-2024 Ford Explorer (2.3L), Explorer ST (3.0L), and Lincoln Aviator (3.0L) EcoBoost vehicles. This direct-fit upgrade provides an impressive 214% greater volume and 259% more projected frontal area than the stock intercooler, ensuring superior cooling performance. The bar-and-plate construction with offset fins on both the cold and hot sides maximizes cooling efficiency while fitting within the original packaging. Testing demonstrates a substantial temperature drop of over 70 deg F on the dyno, with even greater gains exceeding 100 deg F in real-world applications and during 1/4 mile runs. This colder intake air allows for increased spark advance and improved O2 levels, leading to more consistent power delivery, quicker recovery times, and protection against engine-damaging detonation. Installation is estimated to take 3.5 hours. This intercooler is 50-state legal, carrying CARB EO D-231-148. It's important to note that the "Aviator/Explorer hybrid version is not compatible."
