For highly dependable traction -- rain or shine -- MegaStep® running boards are equipped with 5" wide non-skid rubber treads. These treads run the entire length of the boards. They are made from a high-traction material to help keep your boots from slipping, even in wet, muddy conditions, and the treads feature horizontal channels to help shed water. MegaStep® wheel-to-wheel running boards are built to withstand tough jobs and harsh conditions on or off the road. They begin with an extruded aluminum base that provides reliable strength and a solid step with each climb. Aluminum also ensures staunch corrosion resistance and keeps these truck side steps lightweight for less stress on your vehicle. To give MegaStep® aluminum running boards a unique touch of style, they come with a high-polish stainless steel trim. This 18-gauge piece of stainless steel is curved and tapered to conform to the shape of the boards, and it gives these steps the unmistakable look of popular nerf bars. The trim piece is polished to a mirror-like finish, easily withstanding rain, snow, mud and road salt for a rust-free shine. MegaStep® wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered to be a truly integral part of your truck. They mount with vehicle-specific brackets and are highly adjustable. The brackets bolt onto the truck using pre-existing mounting points, speeding up the installation process and ensuring a custom fit. Once the brackets are bolted into place, the running boards can be attached using pre-installed fasteners, and they can be adjusted in, out, forward or backward to position the step exactly where you want it. The core encased in 18-gauge stainless steel for a clean polished look. The stainless steel trim also provides additional strength. A large 6.5-inch board width allows for sure footing. A highly slip resistant 5-inch wide rubber tread sits just inside the stainless trim, which creates a lip for additional grip with the convenience of access into your truck’s bed. For security and longevity, high strength powder-coated steel brackets are used. These brackets are designed for each specific vehicle application.
