MegaStep® running boards are engineered to provide the convenience and functionality of full-length running boards, while maintaining the look and feel popular to nerf bars. Rather than individually placed step pads, they feature non-skid treads that run the entire length of the boards. This provides a convenient step wherever needed. Additionally, these truck side steps feature a bright, mirror-like finish that contours to the tapered boards, offering a sleek accent and nerf bar look on your truck or commercial van. For dependable safety both on the jobsite and in your daily commute, MegaStep® running boards are equipped with high-traction rubber treads. Rubber allows them to grip the bottom of your boots or shoes unlike any plastic step pad, giving you safe entry and exit from the vehicle. The rubber treads also feature integrated channels that span the length of the boards, helping to shed water and mud for a cleaner, safer step. MegaSteps® are uniquely constructed to be both aluminum running boards and stainless steel running boards. This is done using a two-fold construction. The base of MegaStep® truck running boards is an extruded aluminum alloy. We use a hardened T6 aluminum to ensure strength, a lightweight design, and unparalleled corrosion resistance. The face of MegaStep® running boards is a polished stainless steel trim. This adds a style similar to nerf bars with a bright, rust-resistant accent on your truck. MegaStep® running boards are custom-fitted for each unique vehicle application. The mounting brackets are each made vehicle-specific, using pre-existing mounting points to bolt onto the vehicle. This greatly reduces the installation time and ensures a custom fit. The boards are also designed in vehicle-specific lengths to perfectly integrate with the layout of each truck or van application. For further customization, MegaStep® running boards are adjustable. With the brackets mounted on the vehicle, slotted holes allow the side steps to be adjusted forward, backward or side to side. This ensures that you get a solid step exactly where you need it when entering or exiting the vehicle. This particular set of MegaStep® running boards is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Avalanche, Silverado 1500, 2500 HD, 3500 HD, Suburban, 1500 or 2500 and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500 HD, 3500 HD, Yukon XL, 1500 or 2500 (see application information to verify fitment with your vehicle). The brackets are made from high-strength steel for dependable strength and rigidity, and they feature a durable black powder coat finish for long-lasting corrosion resistance. NOTE: This set of GMC / Chevy running boards includes mounting brackets, but the boards and the brackets ship separately. For added functionality on your truck or worker van, MegaStep® 6-1/2" running boards are compatible with an optional backsplash kit. These running board backsplashes help keep the side steps clear of mud, dirt and other road debris that can get kicked up during travel. The backsplashes are available in 88" (#570090) or 98" (#570098) lengths and can be trimmed to virtually any custom length (backsplashes not included).
