The Vintage Speed Merge Comp 740 is a high-performance exhaust system engineered for classic Volkswagen Type 1 engines, including those found in the Beetle and Karmann Ghia. Built to maximize output, the system utilizes a 740mm long runner design paired with a 150mm muffler diameter, which provides a balance of enhanced power and noise reduction. The construction includes a robust 38mm header diameter, stainless steel mat-wrapped tailpipes for increased durability, and an X-pipe SUPER FLOW chamber to optimize exhaust flow. It is equipped with two threaded O2 sensor slots for monitoring purposes and includes extra support brackets that bolt from flange to flange for added stability. The system is compatible with original thermostats and cooling tins, and it offers clearance for Gene Berg traction bars.
