These sleeves are made from bulletproof ductile iron with a tensile strength of 130,000 psi. They offer superior oil and compression control, enhanced cylinder sealing, and reduced ring wear.

Darton's patented MID sleeves feature Swirl Coolant Technology™ to direct coolant flow and maximize heat dissipation in the upper cylinder wall area. The sleeves also come with a phosphate coating for optimal corrosion and rust resistance, which extends the lifespan of the o-rings and resists abrasion from turbulent water flow.

The Darton MID™ Sleeve Kit provides cast iron performance in an aluminum block, offering improved integral strength and enhanced cooling. These wet sleeves are constructed from durable ductile iron, boasting a tensile strength of 130,000 psi, and are designed for high boost and horsepower potential. They deliver superior oil and compression control, leading to better cylinder sealing and reduced ring wear, making them suitable for both street and strip applications. Darton's patented MID sleeves incorporate Swirl Coolant Technology™ to manage and optimize coolant flow between the block and head, promoting stability and efficient heat dissipation in critical areas of the upper cylinder wall and flange. This technology, combined with "Register Fins™", helps to eliminate hot spots in the combustion area, which can lead to detonation and engine failure in high-horsepower scenarios. Furthermore, the exterior surface of the MID sleeves is treated with a phosphate coating. This microcrystalline protective layer significantly enhances corrosion and rust resistance, guarding against damage from turbulent coolant flow. This coating also provides an additional protective barrier for the o-rings, extending their lifespan and contributing to the overall durability of the sleeved block. Kits can be installed by a local machine shop, and a full installation manual is available on the Darton website.
