The Quik-Latch QL-25-SB is a black anodized mini quick release latch, offering a stealthy aesthetic for custom applications. This latch is mechanically identical to the QL-25-S billet version, distinguished by its durable black anodized finish. Its premium construction ensures longevity and resistance to corrosion. The dimensions for the latch body are available in multiple upper diameter options, including 1.25 inch (32mm) for the QL-25-SB, along with 1.50 inch, 1.0 inch, and .875 inch variants. The threaded portion of the latch measures .75 inches, with a latch body length of 0.57 inches and a mounting stud length of 2.13 inches. This latch is intended for applications where a secure connection with a clean, finished look is desired. However, it is important to note that two QL-25 Mini Quik-Latch series fasteners are not intended for use as primary hood pin applications if no OEM hood latch is present. While they can serve as a secondary safety mechanism, they are not designed as a primary hood latch. For dedicated hood pin applications, Quik-Latch recommends considering the QL-38 or QL-50 series Hood Pin Kits. Additionally, mounting buckets (QL-25-B) and assist springs (QL-25-AS) may be required depending on the specific application and are sold separately.
