The Dongar Classic is the original plug-and-play dash cam power adapter that discreetly powers your dash cam by tapping into your vehicle's auto-dimming rearview mirror harness. This eliminates messy wires from the cigarette lighter or the need for a complex hardwire kit. The adapter provides a clean, hidden power source that integrates seamlessly with your vehicle's existing setup. The Dongar Classic features a 18W USB-C output with true dynamic 5V/9V/12V capabilities, capable of powering even high-demand dash cams and radar detectors. It operates on an ignition-on-only mode, ensuring your dash cam powers on and off with your engine. The unit includes overcurrent, overvoltage, thermal, short-circuit, undervoltage, EMI, and input fuse protection for safety, housed in a flame-retardant enclosure. Unlike generic USB modules, Dongar adapters offer advanced dynamic USB-C output to support a wide range of devices. The purchase includes the Dongar Classic adapter, a vehicle-specific mirror harness (selected based on your vehicle), a USB-C dash cam power cable, and an installation guide. Note that this model provides power only when the engine is running; for parking mode recording, the Dongar PRO is recommended.
