The Mishimoto 2019+ Mazda Miata ND2 Oil Cooler Kit is engineered for enthusiasts who push their Miatas on the track, where stock cooling systems may struggle. The ND2 Miata comes with a liquid-to-liquid oil cooler/warmer, which uses engine coolant to regulate oil temperature. However, under prolonged aggressive driving, this factory cooler can become inadequate, leading to elevated oil temperatures.

Mishimoto's solution replaces the less efficient liquid-to-liquid cooler with a high-performance 19-row stacked-plate oil cooler. This design is highly effective at dissipating heat. The kit includes application-specific brackets that ensure the cooler is optimally positioned directly in front of the radiator for maximum airflow. Oil is transported to and from the cooler via durable -10AN braided stainless-steel lines, connecting to a direct-fit sandwich plate and adapter.

Testing conducted by Mishimoto engineers demonstrated consistent oil temperature drops of up to 57°F (29.5°C) when using the non-thermostatic sandwich plate option. The kit is available in both sleek silver and stealth black powder-coated finishes, allowing for aesthetic customization.
