The Eurowise Engine Conversion Kit is designed for MK1 chassis vehicles. It provides the necessary components to install 1.8T, FSI, ALH TDI, or AEG engines with an 02A transmission. This kit is compatible with internal water pump MK4-style blocks and includes a manual timing belt tensioner.

The Eurowise Engine Conversion Kit is a comprehensive solution for installing 1.8T, FSI, ALH TDI, or AEG engines with an 02A transmission into an MK1 chassis, including Scirocco MK1/MK2, Golf Rabbit Caddy Jetta MK1, and Golf Cabriolet MK1 models. It is designed for use with internal water pump MK4-style blocks and features a manual timing belt tensioner for adapting the engine-side mount. The kit includes engine and transmission mounts with polyurethane bushings, robust mounting hardware, and axle shafts and hardware specifically for 02A 5-speed transmissions. A timing belt tensioner kit with belt, stud, and spacer is also provided. Installation notes include considerations for 02J transmissions, where interference with the reverse switch may occur, requiring modification of the mounting flange. For late-model 02J transmissions (1.8T and VR6) that feature 108mm axle flanges, an axle flange replacement is necessary using specific part numbers (Qty 2: 02A-409-355D, Qty 2: 02J-409-359). Vehicles manufactured before 1981 may require two included shims placed between the outer CV joint and the inner wheel bearing to prevent axle rubbing. The kit comes standard with a satin black powder coat finish, with custom colors available upon request. This product is sold for off-road use only.
