The IE Catch Can Kit is designed for MK4 1.8T engines, helping to prevent carbon build-up by catching oil fumes from the block and valve cover breathers. This kit replaces factory plastic breather connections that are prone to cracking. It includes billet breather adapters, braided hose, and all necessary fittings and hardware for installation.

The IE Catch Can Kit is engineered to keep your MK4 1.8T engine running clean by effectively trapping oil fumes emitted from the block and valve cover breathers. This process significantly reduces oil mist and blow-by in the charge piping and intake system, thereby minimizing carbon buildup which can lead to power loss and poor drivability. The kit features a vent-to-atmosphere catch can with an internal baffle system to ensure oil mist is captured and not recirculated. The kit replaces the commonly cracking factory plastic breather connections with robust billet aluminum adapters. It includes a -10AN braided stainless steel/nylon hose, all necessary adapter fittings, and mounting hardware. The catch can itself is fully serviceable, disassembling easily for maintenance, and features a T-handle drain valve for simple, tool-free draining. The black anodized finish provides a sleek, stealthy appearance under the factory engine cover. However, modifying and relocating the factory relay box is required, and professional installation is recommended. The product is intended for warm weather climates; in areas with sub-freezing temperatures, extra precautions are necessary to prevent freezing of condensation, which could build up pressure in the crankcase. The kit is not currently legal for road use in California due to emissions laws and will not be sold or shipped to California addresses.
