The ARM MK7 GTI FMIC is a true front mount intercooler upgrade for performance-oriented vehicles. The core measures 22 x 9 x 3.25 inches, providing a total volume of 644 cubic inches, a 28% increase over the OEM 493 cubic inches. Its ultra-dense fin packs (20 fins per inch) and efficient positioning allow it to support up to 575hp. This intercooler upgrade is crucial for MQB platform vehicles that have been tuned, as increased boost pressure leads to higher intake air temperatures. When temperatures rise too high, the ECU reduces timing to protect the engine, limiting power output.
