MK7 Golf R / 8V S3 Catch Can Kit

The CTS Turbo MK7 Golf R / 8V S3 Catch Can Kit offers a premier solution for managing oil vapors in the intake system of direct-injection engines. This kit aims to prevent oil deposits on intake manifold and valves, which can negatively impact performance and fuel economy. By capturing these vapors, the system helps maintain engine cleanliness, ensure smooth operation, and resolve potential issues with the PCV system. The catch can itself is constructed from CNC-machined T6061 aircraft-grade aluminum and features a billet oil-level dipstick for easy monitoring. Included in the kit are a billet aluminum valve cover breather, a washer fluid reservoir relocation neck, a billet aluminum catch can, -10 AN Black-Series braided hoses, an oil catch can mounting bracket, stainless hardware, and a Hose-Wrangler clamp. All installation hardware is supplied, with the requirement to use the factory PCV gasket. This kit is specifically designed for the 2015-2020 MK7 Golf R (Black Engine Cover) and the 2015-2020 Audi 8V S3. It's important to note that the engine mount bolt must have a stud for mounting; if it has a flat bolt, a specific double-ended stud (N91029602) must be purchased separately. Replacement of the gasket (06K103484F) is also recommended during installation. Additionally, during winter months, attention must be paid to the liquid level within the catch can, as freezing can cause engine damage. Users may opt to remove the catch can during sub-freezing temperatures to prevent this risk.
