MK7 GTI 4-Inch Resonator Downpipe

The ARM MK7 GTI Downpipe is crafted from T304 grade stainless steel with TIG welding for durability and corrosion resistance. Its single-piece design ensures a leak-free installation, unlike multi-piece alternatives. The included laser-cut mounting bracket and CNC machined prongs guarantee a precise fit to factory mounting points. This downpipe offers versatile connection options: a 2.5" reducer is provided for integration with the stock exhaust, while a 3" adapter allows for connection to aftermarket cat-back systems. Both utilize a CNC machined v-band system, offering a more secure and reliable seal than typical slip-fit or bolt-on connections. The standard catless version includes a 4" straight-through resonator designed to enhance exhaust sound without impeding flow. A catted version with a 200-cell high-flow catalyst is also available. Engineered with a stainless steel flex section between the turbo and mid-pipe, this downpipe reduces stress on the turbocharger during aggressive driving maneuvers. It promises immediate improvements in turbo spool, power, and torque. When paired with appropriate Stage 2+ tuning software, it can yield gains of up to 60whp and 105wtq on the stock IS20 turbocharger. Note that attempting to run Stage 2+ tuning files over 25psi with the stock downpipe is not recommended due to potential turbocharger stress, and most tuners require an upgraded downpipe for their aggressive tunes. Important fitment information: This downpipe DOES NOT FIT RIGHT-HAND-DRIVE VEHICLES. It is specifically designed for the Volkswagen Golf VII (Hatchback, 2.0T Gen3), Golf VII Facelift (FWD, 2.0T Gen3), Jetta VII (FWD, 2.0T), and Audi 8V A3 (FWD, 2.0T). This product is intended for off-road use only and is for racing vehicles that will not be used on public roads.
