Its true front mount design positions the intercooler directly in the path of the coolest ambient air, before it passes through other radiators. This setup utilizes a substantial 982 cubic inch bar and plate intercooler core, measuring 26 x 9 x 4.2 inches, which is 99% larger than the factory unit. The core is complemented by ultra-dense fin packs with a density of 20 fins per inch, maximizing heat dissipation capabilities. Designed for demanding applications, this intercooler can support higher boost levels from IS38 or larger turbochargers. The installation process is streamlined as a 100% bolt-on upgrade, eliminating the need for cutting or drilling. While removal of the front bumper is necessary, it avoids the complexity of disassembling the crash bar, radiator stack, or draining coolant associated with OEM-location intercoolers. The kit includes specific mounting brackets for a straightforward fit, with an estimated installation time of 2-3 hours.
