The ARM Motorsports MK7 GTI FMIC is a front mount intercooler designed for optimal cooling of the Gen 3 EA888 engine. It features a 982 cubic inch bar and plate core, measuring 26 x 9 x 4.2 inches, which is 99% larger than the OEM intercooler. This intercooler is positioned in front of the radiator stack to utilize the coolest ambient air and requires no cutting or drilling for installation.

The ARM MK7 GTI Competition FMIC is a front-mount intercooler engineered for enhanced engine cooling performance on the MQB platform. This intercooler utilizes a massive 982 cubic inch bar and plate core, measuring 26 x 9 x 4.2 inches, providing a 99% increase in volume over the stock unit and an efficient 20 fins per inch density. Its front-mount design is positioned to capture the coolest ambient air before it passes through other radiators, maximizing heat dissipation and significantly reducing intake air temperatures (IATs). This allows for cooler, denser air delivery to your engine, supporting demanding high-boost conditions from IS38 or larger turbocharger setups. The kit includes specific mounting brackets to attach the intercooler without disassembling the crash bar, radiator stack, or draining coolant, typically taking 2-3 hours to complete. While front bumper removal is necessary, the process is significantly simpler than that of OEM-location intercooler upgrades. This intercooler is compatible with the Volkswagen Golf VII GTI (Hatchback 2.0T Gen3, Sportwagen 1.8T Gen3), Golf VII R (Hatchback 2.0T Gen3), and Golf VII Facelift (Hatchback 2.0T Gen3), as well as the Golf VII TSI (Hatchback 1.4L). However, it specifically notes that it does NOT fit vehicles with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) mounted in the lower bumper; it WILL fit vehicles with ACC mounted into the VW emblem.
