MK7 GTI/R 22" Bar and Plate Intercooler

The ARM Motorsports Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) is engineered to significantly reduce intake air temperatures (IATs) for the MK7 GTI and R, making it a crucial upgrade for tuned vehicles. By relocating the intercooler to the front of the radiator stack, it leverages the coolest ambient air, outperforming stock-location intercoolers and supporting up to 575hp. The core measures 22 x 9 x 3.25 inches, offering a total volume of 644 cubic inches with an ultra-dense fin pack of 20 fins per inch for maximum efficiency. This kit is designed for a 100% bolt-on installation with no cutting or drilling required, typically taking 2-3 hours. It includes the FMIC core, piping, mounting brackets, and necessary hardware for a straightforward process. For those with higher horsepower goals, an optional Bi-Cooler Hose Upgrade can be added to utilize a stock location intercooler in conjunction with the ARM FMIC for even greater cooling. Important fitment notes apply: this intercooler does NOT fit vehicles with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) mounted in the lower bumper, but it WILL fit vehicles with ACC mounted into the VW emblem.
