The Cometic C5455-060 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered for Chrysler Gen-2 Hemi engines, offering robust sealing for high-output applications. Constructed with multiple embossed layers of stainless steel, its outer layers are coated with Viton, a heat-resistant elastomer capable of withstanding temperatures up to 250°C (482°F). The center layer is uncoated stainless steel, providing a stable core. This gasket's MLS design is ideal for mating aluminum heads to aluminum or cast iron blocks, effectively handling the shearing forces between dissimilar metals. With a compressed operating thickness of 0.060 inches and a bore size of 4.310 inches, the C5455-060 is designed to provide maximum sealing performance without the need for additional sealants.
