It is engineered with multiple embossed layers of proprietary high-temperature coated and uncoated stainless steel, which require less clamp load, reduce bore distortion, and distribute load across the sealing area. Constructed from MLS material, this gasket has a compressed thickness of .030 inches. It features a round bore shape with a size of 84.5mm and is made up of 3 layers. Cometic's proprietary coatings and embossments create a micro-seal for fluids against the head and block surfaces. An optional HP Shim Layer can be added to provide increased stress around the combustion seal for enhanced durability. Production of this gasket is made to order, with an expected delay of 1-2 weeks.
