MLS Cylinder Head Gasket 81.0mm Bore 0.030" Thickness

The Cometic C4237-030 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered for high-output Honda B-Series engines, specifically for applications combining a non-VTEC block with VTEC heads. It features an 81.0 mm bore and a 0.030-inch compressed thickness. Constructed from multiple embossed layers of stainless steel, this gasket offers increased strength, rebound capability, and corrosion resistance. The outer layers are coated on both sides with Viton, a heat-resistant elastomer capable of withstanding temperatures up to 250°C (482°F), designed to handle demanding sealing environments. The center shim layer is uncoated stainless steel. This MLS gasket provides maximum sealing performance and requires no sealants. It is ideal for sealing between aluminum heads and aluminum blocks, as well as aluminum heads and cast iron blocks, effectively withstanding the shearing forces generated by these material combinations.
