MLS Head Gasket

The Cometic C5703-052 is an MLX Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket engineered to provide superior sealing for high-output engines, eliminating the need for sealants. Constructed from multiple layers of stainless steel, the MLS design enhances strength, offers superior rebound characteristics, and provides resistance to corrosion. The gasket features outer layers embossed and coated with Viton, a high-performance fluoroelastomer rubber material capable of withstanding temperatures up to 250°C (482°F), ensuring reliable sealing in demanding environments. The center layer is uncoated stainless steel, allowing for variations in thickness to meet specific requirements. This specific gasket is designed for 6-bolt LS Gen III/Gen IV engines with a 4.165" bore opening and a compressed thickness of .052". It is sold individually and specified as the left-side gasket.
