The Cometic C4193-030 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket engineered for maximum sealing performance in high-output engines, eliminating the need for sealants. This gasket is constructed with multiple embossed stainless steel layers, featuring Viton rubber coating on the outer layers for superior resistance to harsh sealing environments, load conditions, and surface finishes. The center shim layer is uncoated stainless steel, allowing for variations in thickness. With a compressed thickness of 0.030" and an 84mm bore size, this gasket is specifically designed for applications using a non-VTEC block with VTEC heads, such as the Honda B Series hybrid LS/VTEC configurations. MLS gaskets are ideal for both aluminum-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-cast iron block combinations, capable of withstanding the shearing forces between different materials.
