The Cometic C4968-036 is a premium MLS (Multi-Layer Steel) cylinder head gasket specifically engineered for Volkswagen 3.2L VR6 24v EA390 engines. This gasket boasts a compressed operating thickness of 0.036 inches and an 85mm bore, ensuring a precise fit for optimal sealing. Constructed with multiple embossed layers of stainless steel, its outer layers are coated with a Viton rubber material, offering excellent heat resistance up to 250 C/482 F. This design provides maximum sealing performance for high-output engines and is suitable for both aluminum-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-cast iron block configurations, capable of withstanding shearing forces between dissimilar metals.
