Description

The Cometic C4275-051 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket engineered for high-output engines, specifically for the Toyota Supra models from 1987 to 1992. This gasket is designed with an 86mm bore and is suitable for 7M-GE and 7M-GTE engines. Constructed from multiple embossed layers of stainless steel, this head gasket offers enhanced strength and resistance to corrosion. The outer layers are coated with Viton, a heat-resistant elastomer capable of withstanding temperatures up to 250°C (482°F), ensuring reliable sealing in demanding environments. The compressed operating thickness is 0.051 inches. Cometic MLS head gaskets provide maximum sealing performance and do not require sealants. They are ideal for applications with aluminum heads to aluminum blocks, as well as aluminum heads to cast iron blocks, as they can withstand the shearing forces between dissimilar materials. The multi-layer design also allows the gasket to rebound effectively.
