The Cometic C5331-051 Cylinder Head Gasket is engineered for Chevrolet Mark-IV Big Block V8 applications, offering a .051-inch compressed thickness and a 4.630-inch bore diameter. MLS gaskets are ideal for sealing both aluminum heads to aluminum blocks and aluminum heads to cast iron blocks, capable of withstanding significant shearing forces. The three-layer design with valve pocketed bore shaping ensures a precise and durable seal, and it does not require sealants. This particular gasket is made from stainless steel, a common material in MLS construction known for its durability and temperature resistance.
