The Cometic MLS head gasket is engineered for Honda L15B7 VTC Turbo Engines, including the 2016-2021 Honda Civic 1.5T and 2017-2021 Honda Civic Si 1.5T. This gasket utilizes a multi-layer steel (MLS) construction, composed of three to five layers of stainless steel chosen for its enhanced strength, rebound capabilities, and resistance to corrosion. Each outer layer of the gasket is embossed and further protected with a dual-sided coating of Viton rubber. This specialized coating is designed to withstand demanding sealing environments, varying load conditions, and diverse surface finishes, offering heat resistance up to 250°C (482°F). The gasket has a bore size of 73.5mm and a compressed thickness of 0.024 inches, which is the same as OEM, making it suitable for applications where minimal material has been removed from the head during resurfacing.
