MLS Head Gasket 81.5mm Bore 0.030" Thickness

The Cometic C4239-030 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket engineered for Honda and Acura DOHC B18A/B18B engines. It offers an 81.5mm bore and a compressed operating thickness of 0.030 inches, providing a robust seal for demanding applications. This gasket is constructed from multiple embossed layers of stainless steel. The outer layers feature a Viton rubber coating, a material known for its heat resistance up to 250°C (482°F), designed to withstand harsh sealing environments, varying load conditions, and different surface finishes. The center shim layer is uncoated stainless steel. This multi-layer design enhances strength, allows for rebound, and resists corrosion, making it ideal for high-output engines and suitable for both aluminum-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-cast iron block configurations. Cometic MLS head gaskets provide maximum sealing performance and do not require sealants.
