MLx Driver-Side Cylinder Head Gasket

The Cometic C5453-040 MLx Driver Side Cylinder Head Gasket is engineered for high-performance applications, offering a robust sealing solution. Its Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction comprises three layers of stainless steel, chosen for superior strength, rebound capabilities, and resistance to corrosion. This Viton coating provides excellent heat resistance, up to 2500°C (4820°F). The center shim layer is an uncoated stainless steel, allowing for varied thickness requirements, making the MLS gasket suitable for combinations of aluminum heads to cast iron blocks, as well as aluminum heads to aluminum blocks. This construction effectively handles the shearing forces generated by aluminum heads on cast iron blocks. This design promotes an even torque load across the sealing surface, reducing bore distortion without requiring re-torque. The gasket has a bore size of 92.5mm and a thickness of .040 inches. This specific gasket is designed for the left-hand side (driver's side) and is compatible with the Ford 3.5L Eco-Boost V6 engine, including models from 2007-2018. It is also noted as fitting specific Ford Expedition models (2015-2018).
