The Mobilgear 600 XP Series gear oil is an extra high performance lubricant featuring outstanding extreme pressure characteristics and load-carrying properties. This mineral-based lubricant offers enhanced protection for gears, bearings, and seals, actively combating wear at its earliest stages, including micropitting, which can lead to significant gear tooth damage. Mobilgear 600 XP Series exceeds industry standards for bearing wear protection, reportedly providing up to 15 times more protection as measured by the FAG FE 8 test. Its balanced formulation ensures maximum wear and corrosion protection while maintaining compatibility with common gearbox seal materials, helping to prevent leaks and contamination ingress. Recommended for industrial spur, helical, and bevel enclosed gears operating at bulk oil temperatures up to 100ºC, it is particularly suitable for gear sets subjected to heavy or shock loads. The series also finds broad application in marine gearing and can be used in non-gear applications like highly loaded, slow-speed plain and rolling contact bearings.
