The Mobil Mobilube HD Plus SAE 85W-140 is an extra high performance commercial gear lubricant designed for demanding heavy-duty applications. This gear lubricant offers excellent chemical and thermal stability, even at elevated bulk oil temperatures, ensuring extended gear and bearing life by minimizing deposits and prolonging seal life. It provides robust protection against both low-speed/high-torque wear and high-speed scoring, enhancing load-carrying capability and potentially reducing operating costs. Furthermore, Mobilube HD Plus delivers excellent rust, staining, and corrosion protection, contributing to reduced wear and longer component life. Key features include effective low-temperature lubrication for reduced wear and easier start-up, as well as good resistance to foaming to maintain essential film strength for lubrication. Its wide, multipurpose capability helps simplify inventory by reducing the number of gear lubricants needed, minimizing the risk of misapplication. This formulation is also compatible with typical automotive seals and gaskets, helping to minimize leakage and contamination. Mobilube HD Plus is recommended by ExxonMobil for applications requiring API GL-5 and MT-1 service. The product is available in a 400 lb drum, making it suitable for fleet or industrial use.
