The Mobil Mobilux EP NLGI #2 Grease is a high-performance industrial lubricant formulated to provide superior protection in challenging environments. This grease utilizes a lithium hydroxystearate thickener and is available in NLGI grades ranging from 00 to 3, with base oil viscosities of ISO VG 150 and 320. The Mobilux EP 2 grade is specifically designed as a general-purpose grease. Its formulation is recommended for most industrial applications, especially those involving heavy-duty use with high unit pressures or shock loads. Features include reduced wear under heavy or shock loading and vibration, protection against rust and corrosion, and resistance to water washout. The Timken OK load of 40 lb indicates its robust load-carrying and extreme pressure capabilities. The recommended operating temperature range for Mobilux EP 2 is from -20ºC to 130ºC. While it can operate at higher temperatures, lubrication frequency may need to be increased accordingly.
