The Mobil Mobilux EP is a #2 grease formulated with lithium hydroxystearate to offer enhanced protection against wear, rust, and water washout. It is suitable for most industrial applications, including heavy-duty uses with high unit pressures or shock loads.

This grease provides excellent protection against rust and corrosion and resists water washout, making it ideal for equipment in moist or wet conditions. The recommended operating temperature range is -20 to 130ºC, though higher temperatures are manageable with increased lubrication frequency.

Available in NLGI grade 2, this grease offers excellent resistance to wear, rust, and water washout, ensuring equipment reliability even in challenging environments. Formulated with advanced extreme pressure additives, Mobilux EP grease is recommended for a wide range of industrial uses, particularly those involving heavy-duty operations with high unit pressures or shock loads. Its ability to protect against rust and corrosion, coupled with its resistance to water washout, makes it an ideal choice for equipment exposed to moist or wet conditions. The grease is designed to operate effectively within a temperature range of -20 to 130ºC, with the possibility of use at higher temperatures if lubrication intervals are adjusted accordingly. A Timken OK load of 40 lb demonstrates the grease's robust load-carrying and extreme pressure capabilities, contributing to reduced wear under heavy or shock loading and vibration. This leads to improved equipment reliability and availability. Furthermore, its extended bearing life potential in wet environments can help reduce maintenance costs and prevent unplanned downtime. While Mobilux EP 0 and 1 grades are suited for centralized systems, and Mobilux EP 004 and 023 are designed for enclosed gears and bearings, the NLGI-2 grade is a versatile general-purpose grease.
