The Lang's Old Car Parts 3001HP-14 is a high-compression aluminum cylinder head, specifically designed for Model T Fords from 1918-1927. Modeled after the proven Sherman Head style, it features an 8-1 combustion chamber and is offered in a "High" style, with no "Low" style available for earlier years. Crafted from 356 aluminum that undergoes a special heat treatment, this cylinder head is engineered to increase horsepower and provide enhanced power for climbing hills. Its design also includes a capacity for approximately one extra quart of water, aiding in engine cooling. The head's outside appearance is similar to original Model T heads, though it does not feature the Ford script found on 1926-1927 heads. Weighing only 12-1/2 pounds, it offers a lightweight performance upgrade. Installation is straightforward, requiring no engine modifications; it's a direct bolt-on replacement for the original head. This head is built to work with standard pistons, and high dome pistons cannot be used. It utilizes 14mm spark plugs to better manage the heat range associated with higher compression.
