The calipers are cast from a single piece of aluminum, creating a very stiff unit with minimal compliance during braking. This design, combined with ultra-high-resilience piston seals and a proprietary retraction angle, minimizes piston travel for a firmer pedal. The two-piece floating brake discs allow for thermal expansion independent of the bell, preventing warping and cracking. Unique noise-reducing methodology eliminates the rattling common in race discs while still allowing for thermal expansion. Crescent grooves on the disc surface increase initial friction, refresh the pad surface, and prevent gas buildup. The internal vane design, with either 48 or 252 vanes depending on application, efficiently draws air through the disc to dissipate heat. Completing the package are Ferodo DS2500 brake pads, known for their efficiency, reduced stopping distances, and firm pedal feel, offering low noise and dusting. Hosetechnik Stainless Steel Braided Front & Rear Brakeline Kits replace original rubber hoses, eliminating sponginess and reducing braking distance. The kit also includes Motul Dot 5.1 brake fluid, a long-life, 100% synthetic fluid suitable for all hydraulic brake and clutch systems, including ABS.
