The Timpano TPT-BASS400 2 Ohm is a monoblock class D car audio amplifier designed to provide efficient power for subwoofer systems. By utilizing half-bridge engineering and modern semiconductor technology, this unit achieves a high power-to-footprint ratio, allowing it to fit into tight vehicle spaces without compromising output stability or sound fidelity. It is engineered to power a single dual 4 Ohm subwoofer setup. Technical specifications include 400 Watts RMS power at 2 Ohms or 210 Watts RMS power at 4 Ohms when operating at 14.4 Volts. The unit features built-in variable crossover filters, including a subsonic HPF (5-35Hz) and an LPF (35-250Hz), allowing for precise frequency tuning without requiring an external crossover or DSP. It also includes an adjustable bass boost up to +15 dB. Installation requires specific considerations to ensure optimal performance and safety. As a safety precaution, a 40A fuse must be installed within 12 inches of the battery. Additionally, all signal cables should be routed away from ignition cables, electronic injection modules, and starter switches to prevent noise interference. High-level inputs are provided with signal auto-turn-on functionality, eliminating the need for a separate remote wire.
