Monoblock Class D Subwoofer Amplifier

The JL Audio JD1000/1 is a monoblock Class D subwoofer amplifier designed to provide significant power and efficiency for subwoofer systems. Utilizing proprietary NexD™ switching technology, this amplifier delivers outstanding audio fidelity with reduced current draw and heat. Its compact chassis, measuring 11.40 x 7.50 x 2.10 inches, features a high-mass heat sink to improve thermal capacity and reliability. Technical specifications include a continuous power rating of 600 W RMS at 4 Ω and 1000 W RMS at 2 Ω. The amplifier includes a comprehensive signal processing package with a 12dB/octave non-defeatable low-pass filter (50-200 Hz) and a variable bass boost EQ (0 to +12 dB at 45 Hz). It is equipped with dual-range, differential-balanced inputs that accept both line-level and speaker-level signals up to 8V RMS, allowing for integration with many factory systems without requiring a separate line-output converter. Setup is streamlined by an integrated LED clipping indicator that provides visual feedback to accurately adjust input sensitivity. The unit also supports automatic turn-on via signal-sensing or DC-offset sensing. For enhanced control, it offers optional Remote Level Control capability when paired with the RBC-1 controller (sold separately). A 4 AWG power and ground wire gauge is required for installation, and the unit utilizes an 80 A fuse.
