It features 36 levels of simultaneous compression and rebound adjustment, allowing drivers to precisely tune their suspension for optimal handling and comfort. The construction utilizes lightweight yet durable 6061 billet aluminum for key components, ensuring longevity and resistance to corrosion. The steel shock bodies are treated with a zinc electroplate finish to protect against rust and environmental factors. Each coilover's valving is meticulously matched to its specific spring rates, guaranteeing superior ride quality and consistent reliability. The monotube design separates oil and gas, which enhances heat dissipation, allows for more precise damping control, and minimizes aeration and cavitation compared to twin-tube designs. This kit incorporates pillow ball top mounts, which help maintain the vehicle's original suspension geometry and provide a more direct connection to the road for improved driver feedback. Where applicable, these top mounts also offer camber adjustability without the need for a separate camber kit. Height adjustments are facilitated by an adjustable lower mount, a design that prevents the loss of suspension travel common in other coilover systems. Designed for a variety of Volkswagen models, this kit fits the 1984-1992 Volkswagen Golf (MK2) and the 1985-1992 Volkswagen Jetta (MK2). While many applications can achieve OEM height levels, the kit offers the capability to lower vehicles by up to 3 inches from OEM height, a critical consideration for competitors adhering to rally event rules regarding ride height.
