Description

The Dobinsons SS51A811 Adjustable Monotube Steering Damper is engineered to provide increased steering control and significantly reduce unwanted steering forces. Unlike conventional steering dampers, this unit utilizes a through-shaft damping system, ensuring consistent steering pressure across its entire range of motion in both directions. Featuring 12 distinct stages of adjustment, the SS51A811 allows drivers to precisely fine-tune steering feedback or make rapid adjustments with a simple dial. The damper is constructed with a 5/8" chromed rod and a 2.0" high-flow piston, housed within a 6061-T6 aluminum body, designed for durability and optimal performance. It is intended as a direct bolt-on replacement, requiring no special mounting hardware. This steering damper is compatible with a wide range of vehicles, including Rover Series II, IIA, and III (1958-1984), Range Rover (1971-1998), Discovery Series I (1991-1999), and Nissan Patrol models from 1987 to 2016.
