The Monroe Magnum 70 Shock Absorber is designed for hardworking transit buses, specifically built to handle the demands of high mileage and severe use. It provides a firm, controlled ride for greater stability and increased driver and passenger comfort. Key features include: Consistent Ride: All-weather fluid with special additives for extreme temperatures and reduced oil breakdown. Larger 2-3/4-inch reserve tube holds more fluid for improved performance. Exceptional Handling: 10-stage valving tuned specifically to each vehicle, adjusting to road extremes. Larger 1-3/4-inch bore allows valve finetuning by dissipating heat more effectively. Strong and Durable: Shouldered and bonded bushing with sleeve protects from bushing walkout. Arc welds up to 360° for durability. Robust hydraulic lock-out prevents over-extension and damage to the seal assembly. Longer Service Life: Bearing with PTFE coating reduces friction, combined with a nitrocarburized piston rod for durability. Reduced Noise, Vibration, and Harshness: Delivers exceptional control and isolates impact-related noise, vibration, and harshness.
